Running Man! Don’t walk, run!
How was my drawing? is it good?? haha.. This is originally my drawing!!
This special drawing I will give to the my little dongsaeng Zulfa Permata Suri who had been celebrated her b’day on 14/04/2012. Have a nice birthday! Blessed
Hi guys, saat ini saya lagi suka banget sama Runningman
. Variety show korea ini menyita perhatian gw. DAEBAK bener deh. Running man member fixed totally 8 peoples, but nowadays onlt 7 left. Is it because Soong Joong Ki decided to leave RM. heu.. ga papa sih. Toh masih ada 7 member. Kalau boleh saya ceritakan their personality during the show:
1. Yu Jae-suk : Known as Yu-ruce Willis (유르스 윌리스). He is one of leader in RM. The main host of the show and known during the race missions for his escaping abilities. He is shown to have a closer relationship with a lot of the guests on the show, which he often boasts about to the other members. He is also often referenced to the color green throughout the show and is also known for his nickname “Grasshopper” from his first television appearance. Although initially a weak player during the race missions, he later becomes one of the more stronger players later in the series.
2. Gary : Known as Peaceful gary (평온개리). Introduced alongside Lee Kwang-su and Song Joong-ki as one of the “variety rookies” due to his lack of experience on variety shows prior to Running Man. He is shown as the most gullible and is easily fooled by the other members. Throughout the series, he has been involved in the primary loveline of the show alongside Song Ji-hyo. Although shown to be quite clueless at times, he is shown to be quite strong during the race missions even managing to win both special race missions in order to find the best Running Man and winning a trip to Europe.
3. Ha-ha: Known as Haroro (하로로). The primary joker of the cast and is usually picked on by other members because of his height and his similar appearance to Pororo the Little Penguin. He also has a tendency to feel as though he is the main lead into a movie created by his imagination. When things don’t go his way, he lashes out verbally, causing great laughter among the cast. He is also the playboy of the cast, as he always confesses his love to female guests. He was initially a weak player during the race missions, occasionally being picked on even while on the chasing team, however he slowly improves over the course of the show.
4. Ji Suk-jin : Known as Big Nose Older Brother (왕코형님). The oldest member of the show and one of Yu Jae-suk’s closest friends, knowing each other for more than 20 years. He is shown to be jealous of the good relationship between Yu Jae-suk and Kim Jong-kook. During the race missions, he is shown to be one of the weakest members and is the easiest and most frequently eliminated out of the cast.
5. Kim Jong-kook : Known as Sparta-kook (스파르타국스)/ Commander (능력자)/ Kookie~♥^^ (꾹이~♥^^). The strongest man on the show, Kim Jong-kook is known for his strength and skill during the race missions. During the missions, he is known for his sudden appearances that are often accompanied by the soundbite “Sparta!” taken from the movie, 300. His smart tactics are often successful to eliminate the other members and as a result, he is known for having both brains and brawn. He is also shown at times to act cute and show off his “aegyo”. His only apparent weakness is women and he is often teased for having a particular fondness towards Yoon Eun-hye.
6. Lee Kwang-su: Known as Kwang-vatar (광바타)/ Kwang-potter (광포터)/ Giraffe (기린). The youngest member of the cast and initially introduced alongside Gary and Song Joong-ki as one of the “variety rookies” due to his lack of experience on variety shows prior to Running Man. During the earlier episodes he was known for framing his fellow members with embarassing and often absurd rumours. He is often picked on by the rest of the cast, particularly Kim Jong-kook, due to his timid nature as well as similar appearance to the Na’vi species from Avatar. He is one of the weakest players during and is often one of the first to be eliminated during race missions. He is also known for his height, standing at 6 foot 4 tall.
7. Song Ji-hyo: Known as Mong Ji-hyo (멍지효)/ Ace (에이스). The only current female member of the show and initially only appeared as a guest but was added to the main cast in episode 6. During the earlier episodes, Song Ji-hyo was often known to swear during broacasts especially towards Ha-ha and Lee Kwang-su. She is also known to be often seen with confused or blank facial expressions a lot of the time. Throughout the series, she has been involved in the primary loveline of the show alongside Gary. She is one of the strongest players during race missions with similar running and catching capabilities as well as comparable intelligence to Kim Jong-kook.
8. Song Joong-ki: Known as Flower Joong-ki (꽃중기)/ Brain Joong-ki (브레인 중기)/ Active Young Man (적극청년). Introduced alongside Gary and Lee Kwang-su as one of the “variety rookies” due to his lack of experience on variety shows prior to Running Man. He is shown as being the smartest and also having the best looks out of the cast. He is known for being able to figure out puzzles and strategize during the race missions. He is also shown to be very optimistic and is often seen attempting new things but ultimately failing. As of episode 41, he has left the main cast to focus on his acting career. However, he reappeared in episode 66 as a guest which caught the other members by surprise and also in episode 71 in a short cameo as part of his promotion for the drama, Deep Rooted Tree.

By: Lutfi Afifah
Real alumni and going to work! Uyeah… a month ago I had my graduation day. I got certificate of degree and academic transcript from campus. Although I didn’t got cumlaude title but I think the result was pretty enough.
Well, now saya sedang dalam masa “pencarian” you know what? Job! Of course. Dalam masa ini seseorang harusnya sudah mulai menunjukkan bukan hanya kematangan individu tetapi juga mulai menunjukkan kemandirian financial. When I was students many friends and also my junior called me bu Dosen! That’s because I helped many lecturer in practical class or review session class (re: responsi) inside major and outside major. This isn’t be strange if my goal already changed. Many years ago I’ve dream if someday I’m gonna be stewardess so I can travelling around the world. Kalau sekarang my goals is gonna be changed. Lecturer, yap! Sometimes I thought that I was born isn’t for being a career woman.. I live for being a lecturer. Tapi agaknya pikiran itu mulai sirna digulung besarnya ombak. Hehe..
Last year there was a scholarship programe organize by Dikti called beasiswa unggulan. This year I failed to get contract letter. That’s why its hard enough to complete the applications. So, there are two options:
1. Looking for other scholarship or
2. Going to work of course in multinational company.
Let us see! I do this! Many peoples say “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm – Winston Churchill, never give up”. Saya sih biasa aja, In live we have to choose many options. If I could say to my self I would say “ I thought that you’re isn’t try hard enough! Live is hard and cruel so you have to be strong and try to reach your dream as good as you can”.
This week, I got post from Dr. Buyung. He lived in South Dakota. He gave the information about Assistantship in NDSU. The point is: They are seeking to recruit two highly motivated graduate students (either MS or PhD) to study how environmental factors influence the soybean aphid and its surrounding community. Specific research directions for the projects are flexible, but will likely involve a better understanding of how variable or changing environmental conditions influence soybean aphid populations and plant-aphid interactions. PERFECTLY MATCH!! Match with my Undergraduate research. My thesis is about “The Growth of Entomopathogenic Fungus Lecanicillium lecanii on Various Media and it’s Infectivity Againts the Soybean Aphids Aphis glycines Matsumura (Hemiptera: Aphididae).”
Wohoo!! It’s a good chance! I’ve to try! Dr. Buyung said to dedy in their post comment “Hayah, pede dibawa2. Coba dulu, diterima sukur, ditolak coba lagi. Ga jaman dengerin pede. Ayo Ded, mumpung mas Hambeg ada di NDSU dan gw gawe di South Dakota State.”. Dr. Buyung said to me “ini kesempatan bagus! Deirdre sedang mencari calon student untuk level Master DAN Doktor. Saya sarankan bersegera mengirim email ke Deirdre dengan semua informasi yang ia minta di posting di atas. Semoga sukses!”. Well comment dari beliau menambah spirit saya untuk maju! Dr buyung’s friend, his name is Dr. Hambeg said to me “Semoga berhasil …….. anak saya perempuan (Adlina) juga ngambil PhD di sini program Polymer and Coating)… anak laki-laki saya ngambil Bachelor di Computer science ……. pokoknya Fargo welcomes to you ……”(both of them is IPB alumi who worked and study in Fargo, Dakota). Wow,.. Ive to try! Whatever the result! Hehe.. Kata Dr. Hambeg sih “Fargo, North Dakota adalah kota yang paling nyaman di seluruh dunia ……….. melebihi Bogor di tahun-tahun 1950-an dahulu …..” jadi mupeng. x)
“Usut punya usut, is not strange while I wrote on my thesis most of the literature came from USA like University of Minesotta, North Dakota State University, etc.. somoga Soybean aphid ini membawa masa depan untuk saya”. Amin!

“Nowadays driving a car is a must. Globalization makes people easy to move from one area to another area. Of course, it need a transportation. Car is one of alternative to move people to somewhere.”
Guys, I am alumni now! Since I got number for my graduation day (re: 662), I have decided to return to my hometown Ponorogo (re: dusun). Lol. I returned for many reasons, one of that is I want to be expert in driving. My father and mother sent me to “Natuna Driving Course” (re: Kursus Mengemudi Natuna). The location of this place course is in Sultan Agung street no 49, Ponorogo. This kind of “school” is very famous in my town. I loved this school!! Pak Adib was my instructor. He was my teacher. His hometown is in Kediri, East Java. He teached me how to drive correctly, how to park a car safely, and how to be a good and wise driver. I really love him, love as a student to his teacher. I begun this course from Tuesday 24 January – 4 February 2012. It about ten days already. One of meeting spent about 50 minutes.
So many things I got. Experiences how to drive and how to deal police. I got really funny things when I took practical test to get driving liscense. I got remedial when I took my practical test to drive motor cycle. But, I successed pass practical test to drive a car!! It was miracle, it because of “the invisible hand” who helped me pass that test. Tre result, I got my driving liscense card!! Yeay,.. Do you have also guys??

I was lucky got the best parents ever who always support me everytime I need. It almost a year actually I didn’t go home. It because of my research. I feel like a bird that couldn’t fly free. Doesn’t matter! Lets enjoy this part of life
That sweet photo was took in Malang, East Java July, 7th 2011. They visited me when I followed Syngenta Program with Australian student. Look at the picture! My father brought a book. Look silly on that photo. He said ”I wanna take photo with this book nduk!” showed book on camera. yahh.. ! That’s my father! He like read Islamic book exactly. I love you Dad! I love you also Mom.. eventhough little bit fussy actually. My Mom always ask me “When you will graduate??, Why you took a long time with your research, look at Endik (my neighbor anak UNS) he has completed his undergraduate!, Do you have boyfriend now? Who is he?… be careful with the man bla,… blaaa…” Thinking about that makes me feel pain!! Stop mom!! Anyway, I love you mom..
I’m lucky being a student of IPB. Love Agricultural faculty so much!.. In this year 2011, I got Achievement as Outstanding student actually (read: Mahasiswa berprestasi). Hahaa.. I was proud of that eventhough I was not the best on it. Many of my friends doesn’t know about that because until now there is NO Announcement or something like publication about that. Doesn’t matter! No problem..
I’m lucky being part of Goodwill International family. Do you know guys,.. I really happy when I got a message from my scholarship sponsor from Hobart, Australia last July 29th 2011.
She said: “Lutfi, How are you? I want to let you know that the Marsaban family has agreed and is happy to support you for one more semester. PLease let us know the date of your graduation”.
I answered: “I’m fine Ms. Julie,. thank you so much. How’re you and family there? I hope you’re fine also. I was happy receiving goodwill extension for one more semester from The Marsaban family it would be help me to finish my bachelor in IPB. it was surprising! Officially announcement have not announced yet but you give me announcement early. InsyaAllah I will be graduate on December 2011. I will give you a news soon… Hope you could come to my graduation day
warmest regards, Lutfi ”

Love this Photo!! Pembina has represented my sponsor at Goodwill Get Togather II (they're also my parents) ^^
It mean, I got second chance to get Scholarship. So, might! For a year later I have to attend UI to follow monthly training *again. Haha. Not all of goodwillers got this chance. Only few students could get Scholarship Extension. Alhamdulillah lah pokoknya… kedepan masih ada tambahan biaya buat hidup gw.. haha.. My promise, I will make use of that scholarship wisely. I bet!!
Heiii,. someone there! I loved your smile, I love getting message from you~~ #eaaaa but today you have not gave congratulation yet.. oh how pity Im! -_- (8:13 am). I thought that last night 5th, you text me to give something like congratulation but in fact NOT.
That was my short story. Once more, Happy Birthday Lut and Happy Ramadhan for us!! Have a fantastic year!

What were we did there??: Syngenta Connection Program 2011
Malang, July, 3-15 2011
“Yeah,. Just wanna share my great experiences that I had. Never imagine that I could follow this program”
This Program actually was held by Syngenta Indonesia and Syngenta Singapore. Last year this program was held in India and for this year this program already held in Malang, East Java, Indonesia. The students that followed this program come from Indonesia and Australia. Indonesian participants are comes from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Gajahmada University (UGM), Brawijaya University (UB), and Muhammadiyah University (UMM). Australian participants are comes from University of Sydney, Melbourne University, New England University, La Trobe University, and Charles Stuart University.
Actually there was 3 delegates from IPB, Me, Rita Kurnia Apindiati, and Mahardika Gama Pradana. Still remember we flew to Malang with Batavia Air. Syngenta provide us all the facilities such as transport, hotel, meals, and all of our needs.
IPB delegates with Cindy (Manager Syngenta Singapore) and Mr. Felix (Manager Syngenta Indonesia)
We did many things there. Five groups conducted farmer meetings in three separate villages. Focusing on safe handling and use of pesticides. One group consist of 2 Australian participants and 3 Indonesian participants. Actually we are (indonesian) take a crucial part as a translator from Farmer to our Aussie friends.
We discuss anything about our program, eventhough there was a little bit miss understanding among us because of the differencies languanges. Sometimes and even often me and my Indonesian friend say “Pardon,.. sorry pardon!!” Hhahaa.. Too much pardon along day. But we try to speak and understand each sentence we had.. haha.. but Actually we know what their speak as well.
Someday when we just finishing our third farmer meeting at July 11, 2011 around 10.00 pm in the car my friends Laura said something to me. He was sat in the back of car. “Lutfi….. bla… blaaaa..” She spoke unclear at that time. I thougth that I was very tired at that time so I couldn’t heard what her speak. “Do you mean this laura?? I showed farmer meeting attendance” “Oh.. no.. no..no!!!” then she repeated what she speak. Then I heard carefully,.. oh gosh! How bad I am ^^v Actually she just said “Lutfi, can you tell the Driver that I want to buy something in the supermarket because I haven’t any mineral water” oh.. yaeahh.. of course Laura! Then I told to the our driver. “What else do you want to buy?” I asked “No, Just water” She said. Those was a simple miss understanding among us. Funny!!!
This is my great team called Awesome team
We just focusing in one villages called Gading Kulon. Mostly the commodity are citrus and vegetables. Commonly, society there couldn’t know how to use pestiside wisely and safely so that we had to explain to them how to buying, transport, saving, and how to disposal pesticide safely.
We gave them any pesticide boxes called “TEMPAT PESTISIDA” in the farmer meeting and make sure in the next day that the boxes already hang well in the wall of farmer’s houses. We were tired at that time! But we were happy..
We got a day for holiday. On July 10 2011 we got a free day. All of us went to Bromo mountain..
That was my first experience to go there. Iam happy!
That was my story,. really great experiences,. Miss you all guys!!
Best regards,
Lutfi Afifah

Today is the day of ATBC & SCB (Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation & Society for Biology Conservation) Joint Meeting: Arusha, Tanzania
Lutfi Afifah, June, 10 2011
“I don’t know what’s the feeling. I don’t know exactly how my heart is running, I don’t know how huge God give me a challenge, I don’t know hows the way God give me strenght to rise up,. Rise up every time when I was getting down. I don’t know why God give me a thousand tears when I got a problems. But the only I knows that God loves me T.T”
June, 12 2011
Actually I’m confuse how could I start the story. The story about ATBC & SCB Arusha Meeting 2011. Too many sweat and too many energy that already gone away to make our dreams come true. Our? Yes, I say yes,. Because I’m not alone. Me and my friend Nelly Nailufar already made those dream become true.
About two month ago. We got “E-mail Rabuan” from Goodwill Mailing list (Goodwillers weekly e-mail). At these email said that there will be a meeting in Arusha Tanzania, East Africa. This annual meeting sponsored by University of Dar Es Salam, Tanzania Commision for Science and Technology, and Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute. And then we made a registration and sent our Abstract. That title is “Biogeography of The Krakatoa Archipelago (Indonesia): Butterfly Diversity On the Krakatoa Archipelago and Mainland Sites of Java”
ABSTRACT “BIOGEOGRAPHY OF THE KRAKATOA ARCHIPELAGO (INDONESIA): BUTTERFLY DIVERSITY”
Lucky to us,. We got a chance to attend those meeting.
INVITATION LETTER TO ATTEND THE ATBC & SCB MEETING
Actually I was happy at that time on the other side I was confuse how could I go there. And then we decided to follow Scholarship fund from “Kuswata Kartawinata Tropical Biology And Conservation Award” We sent email to the chairman of that Kuswata Kartawinata Tropical Biology And Conservation Award
LETTER TO KUSWATA KARTAWINATA TROPICAL BIOLOGY AND CONSERVATION AWARD
Oh GOD!! We were confuse again because we got that award it means that we got a travel grant to attend the meeting. We got almost 2000$. Hahaaa… As we calculated that a person need 2500$ to support the fund. So, minimally we need 5000$ to booked a flight, booked a hotel, pay the registration fees, pay the Free Yellow Fever certificate, and to make a Visa… and bla..bla..bla…
Hahaaa.. Hi Nelly!! Do you still remember that we ever go to the Immigration Office?? When we made a PASSPORT?? Hahaa… I ever told to you,. “Nel,. Now we already have a passport and the expired date of this passport is still five years, We have to go abroad..” wkwkkk..
and you said “Right lut,. Yang penting mah punya dulu.. wkwkkkkk”
Now,. Is the day of the day.. Berangkatlah Nell!! I will be with you. Lucky to you because Pak. Suyadi will accompanying you for a week. Don’t forget to bring me your sweet photo with “Somalian pirates” lol. Dear Pak Suyadi tolong jaga sobat saya ya pak.. hehee…
Your beloved friend,
Lutfi Afifah
