SUMMARY

Soybean is one of vegetable protein source major, although Indonesia still has to import most of the needs of soybeans. This problem caused by soybean needs in Indonesia  is quite high. Soybean production in the year of 2010 was decelined 6,81% from the year 2009. Whereas the needs of soybean in Indonesia reached 2.1 million tons. In an effort to self-sufficiency in soybean is still a lot of the problems faced by farmers. Decrease in productivity of soybean in Indonesia, one of which is caused by problem with pests and plant diseases. The use of synthetic pesticides became the primary option for farmers to overcome this problem. Unfortunately, synthetic pesticides have a negative impact both on the general environment, agriculture and human. Therefore, it is necessary to make environmental friendly technology innovation in order to attain self-sufficiency target by 2014. Innovative control technology using IPM be an environmentally friendly alternative to control pests and plant diseases.

The purpose of this scientific work is to inform various environmental control technology innovation in integrated pest control in crops, particularly soybeans in Indonesia as an alternative control that are effective, efficient, and safe. Method of this writing paper consists of determining the framework of thought, ideas, data collection, processing and data analysis, formulation of solutions, and making conclusions and recommendations. Components of integrated pest control technology including: The use of resistant varieties, synthesis insecticides and phytopesticides, effective entomopathogenic fungus, Spodoptera litura Nuclear polyhedrosis virus (SlNPV), entomopathogenic nematodes effective, effective trap crops, crop rotation, timing of planting in unison, and sanitation plants pods. In addition, the use of natural enemies like Verticillium lacanii and T. bactrae-bactrae is one of  important component in the control of plant pest. So, we need good mass propagation methods of natural enemies.
